[ADDED B936.9] Default Save Location

Hello!

I've noticed an issue that might confuse new players.

When I save a game it opens up the Save Game window and shows the default My Documents folder. It will allow me to save it there, or wherever. But when you go to load the saved game you don't get the same file browser, but the CMANO file browser. I know to stick my saved game into the Scenarios folder, but it'd be cool if it could default there when you save. Or if it let me define where to load from.

Preference thing that is saved once a player saves it to the desired location once. Changes again if they save elsewhere.

Why would you ever want to save anywhere beyond the Scenarios directory if you can't load from anywhere but the Scenarios directory? I can see to make a backup, or share a file, but it makes it a pain to exit CMANO, to browse to the file, to copy it elsewhere.

Maybe have it default to the Scenarios directory instead of My Documents?

If you're making import files you'd save them to the import folder or maybe you're working on a campaign file and want to save it to a specific folder.

Honestly this has been this way since the beginning and there have been only few complaints on this so not sure its a huge deal. If you think its a bigger deal please put this in the request string so people can vote etc.

No problem! A new guy was asking how to get to his saves, and it made for a weird conversation as we worked through how to find them. All good now, but I'll track down the request string.

Added in Build 936.9: If the save path does not "sit under" the \Scenarios folder, the game forcefully defaults to the latter.
