Unit TOE necessary for this?

I want that a land unit is filled with an equipment that only starts building after war start, so only at that date the unit will get that device. Anyway to do this without wasting a TOE slot?

In Editor there is the Num column which is for how many devices are available and the Dis column for how many are disabled but does exist one for how many it could get?

Yes, you will need a TO&E slot to make that happen.
That is how you can assign devices that are not yet in the pool to a unit...so it may "grow" them as they become available at future dates, without having them already in the unit at start....

Now i am not so sure. --- this is incorrect see edit.

Big B i have checked database and there are some units (2nd armored for example) which have only one TOE but arrive with different equipment from that TOE.

There are no delay in TOE so i think it is available from start, but if the player puts upgrade on it will upgrade to that TOE and the new equipemnt will arrive if it is being produced.

Edit: this is a different case of my initial question so Big B answer is still correct.
