To all front commanders:
Recently mobilized divisions have been assigned to your fronts. Do not interfere with STAVKA units (white, red or black)

Northern Front:
The line JANISJARVI-SORTAVALA is to be held at any cost. To this end, six recently mobilized divisions have been transferred to the 7th Independent Army. 7th Independent army units on the finnish border must buy time for these fresh divisions to be able to prepare good defensive positions

Western Front:
No change since last turn. Keep up a fighting withdrawal towards the VYAZMA-line.

Southern Front:
The rate of advance is surprisingly slow. Prepare defensive lines on the DNEPR and see if you can hold them there.

SITREP: Western Front

I have tried not to make counter-attacks but instead preserving troops and fighting defensively to slow down enemy. Also trying to slow down AGC by imposing as much ZOC I can.

We'll have to stand in front of Moscow.

Can STAVKA HQ colour troops that I can command with something, so I do not accidentally poach troops from STAVKA? [8D] It was honest misunderstandment (said Front Commander in Ljubjanka cellars...) [:D]

All your avaliable units are now colored. I have noticed that you have an army down at Kiev. Which is weird. You can use the units attached to Orel MD, Western Front and Moscow MD. But not the Moscow MD units that are red or the western front units that are black.

If memory serves me right, I railed in a fresh army for you and assigned it to the Western Front. They are on rail a bit southeast of Smolensk. These you can use however you wish.

The north is finished.
I messed up at Pskov and will lose even more divisions there. Gulag comes closer, need a major victory. Maybe against the fins?
Request a more active Red airforce. I am in need of sapper regiments.

Your requests have been recieved comrade. The red airforce is currently unavaliable for attack missions, but they will soon take control over the skies. Sapper regiments will be formed and assigned to your front headquarters. How many do you need?

2 per army would be good. If there arent enough 1 for standard armies and two for important important armies. Sappers help the units building fortifications + help in combat so they are very useful, not even three per army are too many.

Center done, file in Dropbox.

SITREP:

We have 3...ok...call it 2 and half defensive lines in front of Moscow. I could do with some artillery and sappers too, if you can spare some. I'd even take sapper battalions. But most should go to STAVKA defensive lines in front of Moscow.

I am also trying to save airbourne brigades, since AFAIK they can be made to guards divisions/corps later.

This is how I want Moscow defended. Outside the first line of defence is just a bonus. But no units should be committed to defence there because it is too easy to get surrounded by a HQBU. Now, I have been monitoring the German rail-progress, and we are not in danger of one just yet. But soon, we will need to defend only inside these three lines.

Also note the border with Northwestern Front.

The airborne brigades can be converted into guards divisions, yes. But they will be used as intended, as paratroopers, dropping behind enemy lines. That is why I have commandeered them and are putting them under STAVKA control.

From: STAVKA

After an unannounced visit to the command post of the Southern Front, Political Commissar Khrushchev has informed STAVKA that the Commander of the Southern Front was not present at his command post, and no one could account for his whereabouts.

The Commander of the Southern Front has 24 hours to report for duty, and present a detailed account of his actions and whereabouts during the period of time that he has been missing. In the meantime, Comrade Khrushchev has been instructed to take command of the Southern Front, and carry out the orders issued by STAVKA.

Commissar Krushchev should have informed you that I visited our forward deployments near Vinnitsa. During my tour I got cut off with the troops there and managed to break the encirclement by personally leading our heroic soldiers into battle!

The Dnepr line is in the making while the Coastal Army slowly makes its way back.

Sorry for my appearance but I was returning from the front line this very moment. You should see the Anti-Tank Troops during battle! They boldly attack the german Tanks wherever they can.

Excellent comrade! I assume that you broke the encirclement by attacking the fascists, and not retreating?

As for your orders, I regret to inform you that Commissar Krushchev took command over the southern front during your absence. But it is good to see you once again ready for duty.

I won't have time to do the turn until monday. I am fine if one of you jumps in. Please
-keep strengthen the Luga line including C&C optimizations
-strengthen the line against the fins up there with the 4CV division, put the STAVKA division there under 7th Ind. Army control and on reserve mode
-enhance my defense against the right hook
-ask the Central front commander whether the Northern front should further hold at Velikie or withdraw

If you can wait I will do my turn next monday/tuesday.
