AAR "Ambush"

I got back into this game after the fabulous work by Maitrebongo and Rico21.
Learned it, embraced the simplicity and complexity, and now this....short sweet and to the point.

The cemetery offered cover and observation of the road that led into the village.
The German's were said to be heading in this direction and Sulev's scouting party was tasked to setup an OP.

The Scout's were behind the headstones, watching for movement on the road when enemy
infantry were spotted coming around one of the buildings on the west edge of the village.
Behind them was a recon vehicle and a tank.......

Two squads in the stone building to Sulev's south also spotted the enemy group
and prepared to engage the vehicles as they approached...

Sulev's men opened fire on the lead enemy units. The response was swift.

Sgt Baumann was with the lead element when rifle fire came from the cemetery to his left. His men hit the dirt
and immediately returned fire...When he had the enemy suppressed, he sent a squad to insure they would not bother him.
As he continued into the village, he came under heavy fire and his squad began to panic...

With the German's in disarray, Morosov moved his people into the next building giving them a view of the engagement.
The units in the building next to his did the same...

Lt Koch saw his PSG's element come under heavy fire as he approached the large stone building.
He ordered the Panzer that was part of his reinforced Plt to move forward to assist.
As soon as it was close enough, Morosov pounced....

Although the tank was hit, it was not destroyed, but the crew panicked....

During the confusion, Elana moved her people to the building across the way for a
better position...

Sgt Baumann gathered himself and tried to get the attention of those that remained.
They were more intent in trying to find cover...

Morosov's group attacked the German tank that advanced next to the building and force the crew to abandon their vehicle.

The German SP222 Scout vehicle fires its machineguns at the building from where Baumann came under fire.

Those same Partisans kill the crew of the panzer...

Elana moves her group into the east side of the stone building to reinforce the two squads already there.

Lt Koch, rushes the west side of the same building with a squad and MG34.

Elana orders another squad to advance to her position.
