Recruiting Programmer to work with Gary Grigsby

Post by IainMcNeil »

Hi guys,

we're recruiting someone to work with 2by3 on an exciting upcoming game. See the details here. We are very interested in hearing from anyone with programming skills and an interest in the game, not just games industry programmers. You can learn how to switch to games programming but you can't learn how to be a wargamer!

Please pass this on to anyone who might be interested.

Thanks!

just 20 years ago I would have offered to work for free...no, I would have paid to work in one of his projects...In fact I used to think how one can code Kampfgruppe on C64 ....that was in 1985 I guess...How time passes.

Yeah, we want WITP 2.

This would be the Opus.

Maybe it will be WITPAE II with all air/land/sea battles resolved in tactical combat ? A full campaign will last ....a few lifetimes and I'll leave my save position to my ... daughter so she can continue playing the descendants of my opponent.

Leaving the game in middle will be a crime against humanity...

Actually, I wouldn't mind seeing a new Steel Panthers - but as long as its at the SPIII scale (200m hexes), with platoons instead of single vehicles and sections.

Maybe I should learn C+ ... nup too old.

New Steel Panthers game....GP

Loved that game. Was gonna play this past weekend with a friend, but unfortunately we never got around to it. Good to see it coming back.
Kampfgruppe

Another classic and IIRC by Grigsby.
Gary Grigsby and Joel Billings

IMHO these two are amazing and have done it all for our hobby. What ever will we have to look forward to once they retire.
