The AP and AT strengths

Post by Fred98 »

A unit has an AP strength - used for when attacking infantry.

A unit has an AT strength used when attacking armour.

However I noticed that a unit has one single defence strength. I had been expecting 2 defence strengths - one for defending against infantry and one for defending against armour.

Is it true that there is only one defence strength?

If the unit contains armored vehicles, then at least part of the defense strength is armored - which is only vulnerable to AT strength. Squads, artillery, and unarmored vehicles, are unarmored, and are only vulnerable to AP. The figure shown is the total of these.
