Exciting stuff!
Except all this fireworks @ SRA, what's the sitrep on other theatres?
How's the economy after 1 month of war? Aircraft R&D & production?
But when the blast of war blows in our ears,
Then imitate the action of the tiger;
Stiffen the sinews, summon up the blood,
Disguise fair nature with hard-favour'd rage.

The Aleutians...all quite so far. Good landing to wipe out an advanced search location.

I think you need a factory for the Babs (IJN recon) as you will run out of them and you don't have anything else to use.

Have you invested more in Frank & Sam R&D? In your opinion, is <100 Zeros & Oscars enough to keep the existing squadrons stocked, plus upgrading of obsolete planes ie A5 & Ki-27?
I went crazy with fighter factory upgrading and pushed them both to cca. 115-120.
Also, if you find time & willpower, can you describe merchant marine conversions & convoy routes? I relied heavily on Trackers Convoy tool, however I find it hard to plan up ahead since it data-mines the current port data, and doesn't allow us to manually enter eg. port size and resource/oil factories loading bonuses.

The bottom end of the production report. Other than Ann's I don't think I have done much here. You can see Dinah under production for the Army, and there are currently 56 Babs (Army) in the pools.

The Navy however, has no production and only 6 in the pool.

I don't know...but I am going to try and hold off making more. I have the feeling that once the Allies spend their planes, here initially, they will turtle up...so Nates and Claudes will do a lot of work.

This is a scenario 1 game...and everything is precious. Obvert has extracted a supply cost with his constant industry bombing...so I do need to be very careful.

I will be pulling pilots to save for Jacks and Franks.

I have gone very moderate, to me. Only 5 factories on Frank (already at 3, 2, 2, 1 &1 repaired). Sams are at 6 factories (4 at 1 and 2 at 0). I will be looking to add more Sam factories in 1943 hopefully, but not many more.

I am starting to think that Sams should probably be closer to 9-10 factories from the start.

But I needed to save factories for the big push on kamikazes...

Making a ton of AR, AD, AG, all the PB I can. ACM's to support the initial minefields. Also making a lot of AV.

All Husemi are slated for conversion.

20 or so AKE. The first ones are just now getting into position forward.

With respect to convoy, I am hauling from Fusan, Hokkaido, and the Japanese Islands so far. I did ship several large tankers out of Palembang...and they almost got sunk. Balikpapen can't even supply the ships with fuel yet, so no shipping there. Nothing from Miri yet either.

Still very early yet.
