So, any imporvement for the nukes in TOAW 4?

Post by KungPao »

Just wondering if there is any plan to improve the nuclear weapons/nuke warfare in TOAW 4

In TOAW 3, the nuclear weapon was treated as a Attack Strength Multiplication
19.2.4 Nuclear Weapon Yields
Atomic-capable systems are individually rated for a Nuclear Attack Strength. The following values are defined for various equipment. These values are added to a unit’s conventional Attack Strength. At sub-kiloton levels, the addition may not be particularly significant.
Conventional Yield Equivalent
0.1kT                                    25
0.2kT                                    50
0.5kT                                  125
1kT                                      250
2kT                                     500
5kT                                   1250
10kT                                2500
20kT                               5000
25kT                               6250
40kT                           10000

The problem is most of surface to surface missile and nuke capable artillery have Anti-Tank Strength at 0. That cause a weird combat result: a SSM delivered a 4mT nuke to a BMP-2 company at 2.5km hex, no casualty at all!

another thing I noticed is, in TOAW 3, the NBC protection doesn't provide any bonus on MP cost when the unit get into the contamination zone
Sir? Do you want to order a Kung Pao Chicken or a Kung Fu Chicken?
