Not voted ..... Some initial thoughts:

> A campaign mixing all 3 of the Indo-Pakistan timescales options might be interesting. A good progression of air & naval tech from 60's through to current day and good options for air and naval action. So if I could vote for all those then that would probably be what I'd do.

> Nothing really wrong with any of them, but if it's for a DLC campaign then I think you need a good mix of naval & air action.

> Campaigns based on Rolling Thunder & Linebacker might just be too air heavy.

> WW2 related would probably go down well, but would need big WW2 database and I'm guessing some work on the AI, so would probably far more work and take longer. I could almost see a Command:WWII as a standalone game!

> Hypothetical settings offer a bit more freedom than being tied to historical events.
The idea of a (hypothetical) wide scale flare up in South America could have some interesting conflicts.

Voted Yom Kippur since the Arab-Israeli wars 1967-73 or so allow for some interesting small-unit actions with the possibility of something big. That said, am sad that expansion into WW2 is on the table because I think that the appropriate damage models are so very complex to get "right" and the presentation of tactical data used in CMANO is almost entirely wrong for the period but whatcha gonna do when the mob obsesses with battleships...

An Indo-Pakistani Command-Live scenario might be a winner.

Please don't let to many DLC kill any motivation to make community produced scenarios.

I would actually prefer a central West Germany Nato-Warsaw Pact circa 1981-85, but I voted for Yum "Yom" Kipper War.

For me I would like a 2017/2018 Russia vs Western Europe/ Nato Conflict with ground troops.
If we go WW2 a series of battle of the Atlantic scenarios. 1941-44.

I know there are various single scenarios and IIRC a few chained scenarios on this subject, but how about a proper 80's Falklands Campaign?

For me it was a toss up between Yom Kippur War and 1971 Indo-Pak War, I'd like more stuff on both, but I went for Yom Kippur War because I already know a lot about it.

If a WWII Database is created, my vote would be for an anthology of Pacific War Battles, especially the five Carrier vs Carrier clashes (Coral Sea, Midway, Eastern Solomons, Santa Cruz and Philippine Sea).

Thanks Paul.
There are some missing like Desert Storm and the 80s Cold War, my two favorites.

Group all indo-Pakistan wars in a campaign is a good idea IMO, Al Grant.

Also remember what Paul said in the Wargamer.com interview.
Mike's doing one in the China theatre of operations, another one is the Arab – Israeli Wars, I'm doing one that covers from 67' – 73'. The Six Day War, War of Attrition and the Yom Kippur War. I'm also working on one covering the Air Operations in Vietnam. Linebacker, the B-52 raids etc... Once we finalise things like cargo, we can have proper amphibious landings and cover things like the Falklands War as well.

I like the idea of combining Indo-Pak wars into one campaign!
I would also say the same of the other scenarios - unless we actually have the old Dynamic Campaign dream realized in CMANO, I would lean more towards campaigns that are a mix of different types of actions rather than focusing on just one large operation. Ironically, that tends to result in tunnel vision and someone will always find one type of scenarios [something]-heavy.
So I'd really like to more of a mix that covers different phases and scales, e.g. if we go to Iraq (not on the list, I know) - do everything from recon and early infiltrations by spec ops, to air support for massive thrusts by ground forces, to "shock and awe" bombing raids, to helo escort of convoys or using drones to hunt IEDs, to other sorts of counter-terrorist ops. That way there's something for everybody, from those who want to do massive day-1 strikes to those who prefer smaller and more unpredictable actions.

Yeah, for WW2 scenarios, I thought I read from CMANO devs that more improvement to the damage model would be needed to properly simulate the shell hitting the belt or deck...also some additional messaging filtering would be useful because the message log would get flooded from a battle where the units are all using guns (NI Newport News was fun, but logging was annoying). Same for a scenario where many land units are fighting.

This, or make the "Northern Fury" series official and expand the "Northern Fury" universe as DLC, with Pacific Fury, Med Fury, etc.

I've been slowly gathering OOB info on 1973 October War for a while. The problem I see with doing Linebacker is replicating the high altitude chaff deployments in a meaningful way in Command.

There might be copyright issues associated with that, and there is also my community scenario based on the events after that book, The Seventh Battle.

For a Sixth Battle scenario we need a A-6G?(Aim-9) and 1989+ TASM and Russian Helos with Aint-ship Missiles and Upgraded Forestall Class and Min Nuclear depth charge B-1B with APG-65 Aim-120
F-14A/B/D bomecat Aim-120 only Upgrade and Armed Forgfoot or Armed Su-33(yes not in the book) trainer all we need😉
