Re-attaching ships

After detaching a ship from a group, is it possible to re-attach it?

I needed to detach a ship to go after something, and now I want to reattach it to to the group. I reassigned it to the group's mission, and it appears as part of the group within the Mission Editor, but it does not show up in the Formation Editor, so I can't get it back on station.

Left click to Select Group;
Shift + left click (repeat as necessary) to select unit/units;
Press "G" to add unit/units to group;
Ensure Group is selected;
F4 to enter Formation Editor to place added unit/units on station; and
Check to make sure the Group name has not changed. It should not have done but...

Ah, it was the Shift + left click part that I was missing. Thanks!
