Best Switches for Windows 10, 1920/1080?

Post by Rison »

Howdy all

Trying to get WitP:AE to run on my Windows 10 computer for the first time and having issues with the switches. Obviously my computer is multicore, just like all of them these days.

Windowed mode makes it so I cant see the bottom of the screen when I set it to a full 1920/1080 and some of the images are glitchy - like a ship on its detailed screen is moved up outside of its information box and 'twitches'. When I maximize the window, I still cant see the bottom.

What are the best switches that others are using in the command prompt for Windows 10, Windowed Mode, with a HD screen?

Thanks in advance

Thanks for the link - that helped with the sizing.

But I am still getting glitching ship (ie. when there is the animated water effect underneath the ship) on the detailed ship panels. Is there a solution for this?

By the way, my switches are now: -skipVideo -wd –cpu2 –multiaudio -pxf1900 -pyf1000 -altFont -dd_sw

Thanks again

Sounds like your video card/driver issues, I'm not seeing any of that

Go to the tech forum and read the Win10 upgrade thread there - all the problems you have had, others have also dealt with.
The "bleed through" of graphics might be related to the color and transparency settings for your task bars. witpqs posted graphics showing the relevant Win 10 controls to set "off".

I have a stock HP Pavilion, windows 10 factory installed, less than a year old..
I use this:
"C:\War in the Pacific Admiral Edition.exe" -altFont -archive -deepColor -SingleCpuOrders -dd_sw
