I am not aware of any discount for owners of the original WITP, but there have been several occasions during the last year when Matrix offered -AE at a substantial discount. July 4th might be one. Christmas usually is.

something matrixgames should change I bought this game in 2004, have around 15 titles in my library ... sucks buying them twice just to get the latest version.

"Latest version" is not a fair way to look at this... WitP is to WitP:AE as Wolfenstein 3d is to Call of Duty. It isn't a simple incremental improvement.

The Christmas sale is usually about 30% off all games. That's when I got my copy of WitP-AE, 3 or 4 years ago.

This is not an upgrade, but essentially new game. When it first came out Matrix did offer a discount to owners of WitP if you bought AE within a certain time.
