Failed to extract project file memory message

I was getting a black screen at startup. The game ran well until recently. So I reinstalled everything from scratch. Oddly enough i was able to play the game for a while. I later tried to play the game got a "failed to extract project file to memory"
Black screen as to previous post.

I reinstaled the game again since previous post. Just getting a black screen. The game ran well since i first got it in 2015.
I do have the most recent nvidia drivers and the most recent windows update.
