Can't Set Screen Mode Error Message

My WIN 10 machine updated last night and now this morning I can not run WitP!! I get a can't set screen mode error!

My command line reads:

"C:\Matrix Games\War in the Pacific Admiral's Edition\Beta2\War in the Pacific Admiral Edition.exe" -dd_sw -deepColor -px1600 -py900 -cpu2 -archive -autosave

I tried disabling the full screen and the Override high DPI opt but no joy! Can I get some help on this!

Addendum; I had a corrupt windows file that prevented anyone from changing the screen resolution in the settings display menu.
