Question: Soviet Manpower and Mobilization

Post by desert »

Could you recommend sources on the geographical aspects of mobilization and distribution of personnel in the constitution of WW2-era Soviet army units and formations of all sizes? That is, what were the Soviet policies and practices relating local recruit cadres to the final frontline formations?

Thank you.
