Cant set screen mode

I bought the game. installed on win10, update to patch 1124 but when I start the game it comes up ERROR: Cant set screen mode. I have tried switches and compatibility mode, but nothing seems to work.

My new computer is a laptop. However, I hook it up to a large TV (32") to work on my desk. I keep both displays on. Apparently when first installing WIP-AE it can't figure out which display to set, even though there is only one display (just replicated). I told the system only to use one display (the large screen) and then restarted WIP-AE, which came up on full screen mode. I exited the game, reset to mirrored displays and included the windowed settings I wanted and have had no problems (these were the ones it seemed to ignore before).

Can you be more specific as to what you did? It's a tad cryptic for me!

Addendum ... I solved this problem. WIN 10 files were corrupted had to run a file check Admin program and it fixed it.

I'm having this problem. Any solution would be appreciated.

I'm only having this problem with .26B and not the stock program on my Laptop
