.26B error message: Can't set screen mode

Post by Rusty1961 »

Okay, I finally was able to watch a turn of the .26B file on my new rig (W10).

It took almost 3 hours to watch a replay so I rebooted the machine. Now when I click on the .exe file of the .26B I get the following message:

Error: Can't set screen mode

Any ideas why this happens and why the playback is agonizingly slow?

Thanks for all your advice!

It would help if you could post your Target line with the switches you have installed.

Make sure you're not aiming the shortcut at autorun.exe.

If you don't have this switch, try it: -dd_sw

Mr. Moose,
I think I found the problem. I was with the screen resolution. I reset it from the highest level to 1024x760. The screen is much better, but the game still plays slow. I will start another thread with my system stats. Thank you for your assitance!
