Mounts, Capacity, Magazine Confusion

Post by morphin »

Hi

I didn't find the soltution for enlight this.

For example the SAM Patriot PC-2 GEM+:
Mount: 2xPatriot M901
Capacity: 16
Launch Interval: 2
Wapons (per Mount). 8xMIM-104F

Magazine: Capacity: 48
Reload Rate: 600
Storage: 16xMIM-104F Patriot PAC-3 ERINt (MAX 16)

So the whole Bty contains 2 Mounts, each have 8 Weapons. So it could fire 16 weapons at once? Or only 4(Launch intervalx2 for two mounts) and then waiting for Targeting again? (8 Seconds wait for Veteran)
What is the meaning of "Capacity 16"?

On the magazine:
Capacity is 48, but the sum of maximum stores is 28 (16 MIM-104F and 12 MIM-104E). So the maximum usable capcaity is 28? If this is true why 48 Capacity?

Reolad Rate: 600 -> Is this the time in secondes to completely reload 16 Weapons in the 2 mounts?

Thank's for enlight me!

Andy

Which PAC-2 are you looking at? I noticed there is a difference between the U.S. #294 and the configurations of other nations.

So you have 2 M901, each of the 2 TELs are configured for 8 MIM-104F though they have the capacity for 16. Their rate of fire is 2 seconds.
The battery's magazine has 16 additional MIM-104F available for reloading when the launchers require it and it will take 600 seconds for it to complete.
