Can text of armor penetration be slowed?

I'm having a lot of fun with SPWAW but one thing that bugs me is
that when a tank fires at another and hits the text box showing where
the tank was hit and how far the round penetrated disappears
way too fast to read. Is there any way to slow it down?

The problem is, that this slows the game horrible down.
Better is , if a message box will be displayed, you can simply click your left(right) mouse button, and the box vanishes, or if you do nothing it will disappear after the time you have set in the preferences.

Thanks, guys. I didn't notice such an option in preferences. Does
that have to be set before the game starts or can you change it in
the middle of a game?

You can change this before or in the middle of the game.

If you're concerned about slowing the game down, I've noticed that moving the mouse around (at least on the sidebar) while messages are up seems to make them go away.

Where is the button located to set this text speed? I have seen no
such option in the game. Maybe I'm missing where the menu is located
for this setting?

THE PREFERENCE SCREEN IS A LARGE GRAY BAR ON THE OPENING MENU. iT IS ALSO IN THE BATTLE SCREEN AND THE EDITOR SCREEN. THE ADJUSTMENT IS IN A BOX CALLED MESSAGE DELAY

Sure, you just need to go into preferences and turn up the message delay. I also found that the default was way too fast.
