Bill,

I haven't seen the popup for the option of Sealion come up in any of the games...is that still a thread?

Hi

There is an advice pop up in mid-September in the 1939 campaign, advising Germany to invest in amphibious warfare and a few other things if Sea Lion is going to be considered. That's all though, and I haven't turned it off so it should appear as it's set to a trigger of 100%.

The image itself is called german_report_sealion1.png and can be found in the Media folder within the game's main installation.

Hopefully it should appear your side if you run a quick test in Hotseat mode with a new campaign?

Hi Bill,

it is not happening...the only popup for September is the Navy recommending the mining of ports. I don't
know if it makes any difference, but all my games are against humans.
Also, isn't it a bit early for the popup, the Germans haven't even taken on the French yet, if I remember correctly
Hitler didn't order Sealion till fall of France.
Those are my principles, and if you don't like them... well, I have others.

I've found it!

It was only set to fire in games against the AI, so I'll change that and see if any more are incorrectly set that way.

It is applicable because it is advising you on what you might need to do to prepare to launch the operation. Leaving that until later would be too late, e.g. Amphibious Warfare research needs to be undertaken straight away, and the Pop Up is modeled on a study from late 1939 that was carried out, if I remember rightly, by the Kriegsmarine.

Thanks for pointing this out and helping me track it down. [:)]
