Setup box

The new Cold War turned hot wargame from On Target Simulations, now expanded with the Player's Edition! Choose the NATO or Soviet forces in one of many scenarios or two linked campaigns. No effort was spared to model modern warfare realistically, including armor, infantry, helicopters, air support, artillery, electronic warfare, chemical and nuclear weapons. An innovative new asynchronous turn order means that OODA loops and various effects on C3 are accurately modeled as never before.

Setup box

Post by guderian68 »

Hi,

I really love this wargame but there is a small things that really frustated me.
In the setup phase the drag of units to prepare my warplan is really difficult and tedious, exspecially for units far from setup area.
Could I suggest to create a on map draggable/overlay box where initial force could be stored ? Something like vassal unit box, if you know it.

Thanks a lot

That's been a noted problem by a number of players since the beginning. While there is no real fix for Red Storm, we are addressing the problem in the Southern Storm design in a couple of different ways. Sorry there isn't a better answer for now. [8D]
OTS is looking forward to Southern Storm getting released!

It's the best answer I can receive: have fun working on Southern Storm!

Hi. I agree with Guderian68. More than a problem the setup procedure is an irritant which doesn't detract from the quality and fun of the game. A lot of other games have these laborious first turn setups. WITP-AE comes to mind.
Looking forward to version .13 and Southern Storm. Bravi!
