How to get 1920x1080?

Was going to buy this on sale today when I realized I already owned it! Getting senile I guess. [&:] Anyway when I load the game it comes up in 1360x768. My native res is 1920x1080. Switching the game to fullscreen doesn't do anything. Using Win7. Not sure if anyone even monitors these forums anymore but thought I'd ask if there is a way to get the game to run in 1920x1080? Thanks.

Edit - Tried running as administrator but that did not help.

This is what i've tested:
select 'Preferences' and check 'Window mode' (not full-screen).
Apply and restart the game. Make your selections (scenario etc)
and once on the map, maximise the window. Worked for me on 2560x1440,
but the scrolling was a bit slow :-/
