Witp AE on Mac OS with Wineskin

Ok, after 30 years back to Mac and dropping windows. Have a new iMac Sierra OS with 27" Retina display.

I have created new wrapper using wineskin. Cool app. Software loaded and will run. By trial and error found out CPU1 switch runs game much faster

Two issues:

1. No sound
2. Despite all the resolutions I try and command switches - cannot make game full screen

Will at some point need to figure out updating software and running tracker, but for now looking for help with two issues above. Posting screen shots of display and wineskin wrapper settings. Have played with wine tricks but not really used it.

Using these exe flags in wineskin. Could go higher resolution on 5k Mac but understand AE does not go above 3K. Without -w switch below does not run well and mouse curser disappears when you select anything. Buggy.

-w -cpu1 -dd_sw -multiaudio -skipVideo -px3000 -py1500

Thanks for any help. Have parallel software to load windows on Mac but would like to figure out how not to use windows.

Hi Mikawa,

I run the same config and have had the same issue despite attempting a thousand fixes. Bizarre...but I run the same configuration on my iMac and have no issues....try and do the same on my MacBook and I have the problems you have.....

If you do resolve it, let me know... I might try and take another look myself over the weekend.

I don't know anything about Mac software, but my understanding was that the switches we use are designed to make the Windows OS and the modern CPUs work better together. Since Wineskin is not Windows and a Mac CPU may be different from the Intel and AMD ones normally in PCs, it may not be possible to get the results you want with the switches we normally use.

There have to be some Mac user web sites that can help with graphics questions. I don't think the game software itself is an issue for your machine with the Wineskin add-on.
