Failure to see Upgrade Cost Savings

Fury Games has now signed with Matrix Games, and we are working together on the next Strategic Command. Will use the Slitherine PBEM++ server for asynchronous multi-player.

Failure to see Upgrade Cost Savings

Post by brian.here@yahoo.com »

I have noticed that Germany does not appear to be saving MPP's from research breakthroughs in Production Technology.

Ex.) Fighters cost 300 and advanced aircraft upgrades cost 10%. The cost then is 30 with no breakthroughs in Production Technology (PT). Each level of PT reduces upgrade costs by 5%. So, at level 1 of PT a 5% reduction of 30 is 1.5 round it down to 1 the cost should be 29. It is not. It is still 30.

Am I understanding this wrong?

Thank you.

Hi Brian,

For now this is a typo as the code only applies to the reduction of cost by 5%, and Bill and I are discussing whether it should also apply as described in the Manual to a reduction of cost for each research level upgrade as well.

OK. Good to know! I appreciate your answer.

BTW - I ABSOLUTELY love the game! It looks beautiful, easy to understand how to play (hard to master), research is so well done as well as diplomacy. Finally, the combat system is works handsomely as well.

OH, the manual. I upgraded to pick it (bought the game on Steam) and I am VERY impressed with the content, quality of the pages, and the thick binder. Thank you Hubert!
