Is there any chance of an expansion to include 1940 (French, British etc)?

Yes there is. In not a to distant future Peter will start working on the first expansion, French troops and British 1940 may very well be the direction to go for the first expansion. Decision not made yet. If not in the first they will be i a later expansion.
