Problem with small 5 - 5.01 patch

Post by Paul Vebber »

Somehow we got some old OOB files in the small upgrade. If your OOB files have three German snipers and no MG34MMG unit then you have the bad set.

I believe the larger 5.01 packages are correct, but I am checking that...

THe correct small patch file is Spwaw-v501-update.exe

so the small 5.0 to 5.01 patch is bad???
Yep mine says "upGRADE.exe and I got the 3 snipers in the scout formation.
Do we uninstall spwaw and go back to 5.0?
This kinda like Cheech and Chong..
"here take these man"
"hey wait, dont take those man"
"i already took em man!!!!"

I thought the patch was spwaw-v50-v501-upgrade.exe. Or is this something different?

Thanks. I will wait for you guys to post it. Meantime, I think I will grab a cup of coffee and play one of WB's great scenarios!

Hi Guys

Ok I corrected the problem and changed the file already on the server.

The New and its correctly link from our download page is spwaw-v50-v501-Upgrade.zip

Its a small file so if you want to be safe just download it again.

Sorry I messed up like that, I guess all these builds are starting to look the same. Thanks a lot Paul for catching that before it got out of hand.

Paul has double checked the the v45 to v501 build is its fine is he also checking the full internet version now as well. I post here again once we are done double checking.

Hi David:

Damn, that was fast! I was sorta liking it. In fact, I was going to buy all the King Tigers I could find and march right into Moscow in 1941!! Oh well, back to reality... :D

P.S. Good job.

I'll take that previous thanks back, well partially anyway :(

You guys tweaked the EXE-file to accept only 5.0 intro-video, 4.5 wont do anymore

Well, thanks a lot. I know it is your contract with SSI, but this really sucks.

Downloading 5-6 hours straight to get one video-file is not my form of entertainment!

To English-speakers: Lousy connections, noisy line. Uncertain downloads...hurray!

Here we go again! :)
Well...It was nice...But you guys should really see this...:
http://www.combinedfleet.com/127_40.htm

This is what I mean. I thought OOB-people had all the material for this kind of add-on..
(I have some books, but not much about these)

Basic naval mount/turret. Could rotate, and was bolted to concrete (It seems logical)

Book "Utmost Savagery" contains one captured photograph about these:

"Japanese sailors man one of the four Type 89 127mm/40-caliber, twin-mounted, dual-purpose antiaircraft guns found on Betio.
---
In the battle, the crews fired them horizontally at ships and landing craft."
