No image for the Pacific. Not much changed. The US took Saipan and the Japanese retook it. There was a large naval engagement in the Marianas. Air power was about equal, but with surprise I (axis) made it a surface. Great damage control by the allies limited the impact to the Enterprise and the Portland being damaged. The JP put the Yamato in front to absorb their X and promptly rolled a 1 making it a great move (any other JP ship would have sunk). The USA then aborted the zone.

Turn 20. Nov/Dec 1942. End of Turn. ChiComm Partisan.

A ChiComm partisan spawns and denies the Japanese 1 non-RP that they've been using for production.

Turn 21. Jan/Feb 1943.

Allied Resource Lending.

No Changes.

Initiative.

Axis 7 + 1 = 8, Allied 2. With the allies unable to request a re-roll the axis win the initiative.

Do the axis wish to move first or second this turn?

If so, it's probably easiest if you just set the die rolls with the turn you sent me and go from there. If you wish me to move first then I'll do the same and go with the turn I received.

Axis did decide to move first. The East front situation was just to tempting.
Weather JF43 i 1.
Results pretty good, though with rain and storm there will not be any big sweeping moves.
I will try to get to this tonight.

ND43 i1 Naval Combat
Actions: Japan combined, Germany and Italy lands
Germany flies a NAV to the 4-box of the E. Med.
Japan flies a NAV to the 4-box of the Arabian Sea and a NAV to the 3-box of the China Sea.
Japan moves 2 sub from NEI to the Read Sea and 1 to the SE Indian Ocean (all one naval move). A CA with a Mar-div moves from Saipan to the 4-box of the Bismarck Sea.

3 Possible combats shown below.
In the first search rolls the CW CA in the Red Sea gets the drop on the Japanese subs (rolls of 8/1). You have 5 surprise points and I see three options.
1) avoid combat
2) make it a sub combat, take no damage and inflict 2A
3) let it be a surface combat, take an A and inflict D 3A. (There is a small chance that I could have a sub remain for round two, but you are also likely to damage a submarine)

I could not decide which you would want - option 1 or 3 (2 did not seem likely).

Good Choice.
You passed your A and I failed the D and enough A's to send everybody home.

In the Arabian Sea search rolls of 9/2 resulted in no combat. (I reacted another plane out to this zone).
In the SE Indian Ocean search rolls of 7/3 resulted in no combat.

ND43 i1 Ground Strikes
3 ground strikes: Lisbon, Stavropol, and Vlad. You can only intercept at Lisbon.
A lone Italian FB is bombing Lisbon, image below shows the situation and potential interceptors. What to you wish to do?
{There are probably US interceptors as well, I forgot to look for those}
