Why should it? XP is FIFTEEN YEARS OLD. Microsoft doesn't even support XP any more.

What's next? "Will it run on CP/M?"

LOL. Thank you for running an obsolete, bug-ridden, vulnerable, unsupported operating system because you're too cheap to upgrade and still expecting others to support it.

FYI you can upgrade to Microsoft Windows 7 Professional w/SP1 for a whopping $12.99.

Man up.

Well, TOAW III runs well in XP, so I think there are good chances. Hopefully one of the beta team could confirm it.

Thank you Meyer 1. I saw somewhere it is 32 bit not 64 so I'm hopeful.

Anyone running an abandoned and obsolete OS needs a lot more than hope.

I got this from somewhere or other. I think it's accurate.

The game window had damned well better not be limited to 1024x768.

The game window had damned well better not be limited to 1024x768.

I don´t think that will be a problem, since it isn´t for TOAW III (runs fine here at 2560x1440), but this should improve the experience:

•Dialogs now scale relative to font size. This allows users with huge screens to tailor the game to screen size.

1024 x 768 is awesome. I'm probably the only one still using it, though. Those stats posted above are outdated, and as far as XP goes, I can't say anything official but I wouldn't count on it. It is possible that a number of people would have to request that it be available in order to make it worth the time and effort [it is a different exe from later OS's].
