You can expect the Dutch to surrender around the 14th-15th

Rotterdam bombing card will reduce morale just to a point where the cumulative losses will make it hard to maintain it.
You should avoid combat as much as possible if you want to keep Holland in the war longer than historically

The AP losses continue to frustrate. The losses to I and XVI (both 7th Army) are crippling. 7th Army are going to struggle to make it to Belgium let alone Holland at this rate!

No losses yet for the French army but as we shall see, the Germans are bearing down on the 2nd and 9th Armies...the 2nd Cavalry Division in particular is about to realise that there is a major German move being mounted through the forest of the Ardennes.

The French have 16PP. It is tempting to play a card, of which there are 3 possibilities:

- Extra Division - 10PP
- Charles De Gaulle - 10PP (increases the effectiveness of one corps)
- Strategic Transport - 15PP (secures additional rail transportation)

I need all of them!! But I think replacing Gamelin is more important so will hold off for now.

The cavalry regiments of the 2nd Cavalry Division begin to realise slowly that the weight of German units bearing down on them means this is more than just a feint, and they fall back on Virton. To the west the 5th Cavalry Division hold position although once again the bridge north of Virton is not blown. On the left flank of 2nd Army, the 213th Regiment of the 55th Division is sent to hold the river south of Boullion. Huntziger keeps the 71st Infantry Division between Sedan and Montmedy as a reserve - although he is fully aware that this 'B' Division is not much of a reserve and indeed, if the reports coming from his cavalry scouts are correct, he hasn't actually got much of an army....

If Huntziger is starting to worry about his 2nd Army, then Corap feels doubly concerned about his own 9th. This is the southern end of his command. Like Huntziger, Corap feels the urgent need to push his two reserve divisions (4th and 54th) up to the Meuse already.

XI Corps continue to struggle to get themselves to the Meuse, while the 4th Cavalry have seen enough and fall back on the 5th Division safely behind the river. This is not cowardice - Corap recalls this unit as he will need some sort of reserve to plug any gaps in the line.

General Billotte starts to get very concerned about the time it is taking for his armies to get into position. Blanchard's 1st Army are woefully behind schedule and at this rate are going to have to rely on the Belgians to hold up the German advance.

There is no point showing a picture of 7th Army as they have barely moved. If Generals Georges, Billotte and Giraud had decided they were going to outright disobey Gamelin on the Breda Variant then they couldn't have done a more comprehensive job....

Well that's nice. I need 150 Dyle Plan points and I have 232. In less good news we have...... I Corps are situated between Liege and Diest, whilst Namur is being looked after by VII Corps. Sit tight remains the order of the day.

Belgian Army - K Corps (Southwestern Ardennes Sector)

The three units of Chasseurs Ardennais and 1st Cavalry Division that have been caught by the Germans, have left it too late to flee and stand their ground. The 2nd Lancers at Neufchateau (circled) manage to destroy a bridge to the south.

Belgian Army (Liege-Eban-Emael)

The position of III Corps looks terminal north of Liege. The German attack is concentrated and the lack of manoeuvrability means reinforcements cannot be rushed to where they are needed. I Corps can provide no help for the same reason. I Cavalry Corps is rushed to the area but is too far away to provide much in the way of assistance.

The Dutch position is clearly terminal and its a case of playing for as much time as possible. They lose a morale point because of casualties - which are now up to 12%.

General Winkelman sprinkles his magic dust over the 4th Infantry Division to try and raise their effectiveness. Aside from this the Dutch have only one card to play (afford) 'raise a regiment' and they decline this.
