Winter or summer (when is you most active with war games)?

Post by MrsWargamer »

Just curious, is yer war gaming more winter (hiding from the cold) or more summer (hiding from the heat)?

Me, I'm quite the snow bunny here so the cold of winter means nothing to me.
I'm more likely to be inside hiding from the heat, but actually, I also like the sunshine and the A/C means I can give myself a dose of heat and then go hide in the cool in my apartment.

I'm more likely to play a war game in the summer, the days are also longer.

Interesting question. I tend to play 'heavier' games in the winter and 'lighter' games in the summer and with more time spent playing in the winter.

Best wishes,
Steve

I usually game in the winter. I'm too busy doing projects around my house, going places, etc during the summer. Also, I find it more difficult to think deeply (necessary for games, coding, etc) when it's too hot outside.

Well I lived in Wisconsin most of my life but now live in Florida. Not much winter here, may play computer games a bit more in the summer now I suppose because it's too hot from mid May until October.

I actually miss up North.

What's 'summer'? Have you seen Scotland's weather this year??

I play all year round.

lol. It hasn't been much better where I live in England. [:D]

I usually play more in the Winter. Especially around Christmas when I often buy new games in the sales. I tend to do a lot of other things in the Summer. At least I do when the sun actually comes out.

Mostly active in Winter as Summer means more work, the heat, less sleep and tourist who accomplish to fry my brain at the end of the day [:D].
So I keep it to more simpler games in Summer however if I do have to get my Wargame fix I usually pick Desert scenarios [8D]

Best place to summer vacation is the woods and lakes of Northern Wisconsin especially on a year when summer falls on a weekend.

About the same amount the year around.

However, my outdoors time increase in the summer so my reading and watching TV-series decrease then, instead of wargaming.

You don't actually :) the more you deny it, the more guilty you sound.

Be warned, women are often great pals, right till we find ourselves fighting over the same man. Then it's anything goes.
