Installation

Command: Chains of War is a DLC for Command: Modern Operations. 20 minutes into the future, a spark erupts in the Korean peninsula that will lead to a theaterwide conflagration embroiling the entire Western Pacific and drag all major powers into it.

Thank you for your prompt reply VPaulus.

Always type Serial Number manually.

With Serial Number for CMANO (purchased when game was released) game loaded V1.12 upgrade without entering Chains of War Serial Number upgrades, can install new 4GB upgrade without entering Chains of War Serial Number.

V1.12 is latest version.

Every time I enter Chains of War Serial number I get void serial number message for V1.12 and Chains of War exe files.

Tried re register still got void serial number messages.

I have not purchased the Northern Inferno upgrade so it's serial number location is left blank.

Is there a way I can check if I have been sent the wrong serial number?

I have had no problems with other Matrix games, War in the East, War in the West etc.

To reinstall game would I re install CMANO from cd, then install by the 4GB exe file?

Can I change the name of the current CMANO folder before re installing game, to remove it if upgrade works or go back to using current CMANO folder if it does not work?

I did a clean install of the game using the latest all-in-one installer. I entered my license keys for CMANO, NI, and COW, however, the Live Scenarios are not activated.

I own all of the Live Scenarios, but don't see a way to enter my license keys for the Scenarios. What is the procedure?

I think you have to run the installer for each Live scenario and re enter the keys

I'm sorry but what you mean with void? Can you attach a screenshot showing the serial number message?

You'll have to open a helpdesk ticket. But honestly, I don't think that could happen.

No. For reinstalling use the new 4GB installer you have received for installing Chains of War (Command-MANO-NI-CoW-SetupRelease-v112.exe).

Hi. On the topic of installation, should I extract Chains of War to the original CMANO directory or should it be installed in its own directory.

Thank you for any assistance.

Wow. This is my 3rd try at install.
It lost a setup file.
Reloaded.
After it finished I got exception reports on CoW and Command.
Removed both.
Reloading again

But, its okay. Really Really want to play.
3rd time will be a charm.

Hi,

because i have trouble installing everything newer then 1.11 - setup 1.12 kills my office installation - i tried to register CoW (i bought it today) in two ways:

- Adding the serial number to the serialreg.txt which can be found in game folder - this is not enough
- Adding a key Command Chains of War to the registry (copied and renamed the key Command Northern Inferno and changed the serial number) - this is enough

After this CoW is licensed. So everything you have to do for licensing without reinstallation is to add your serial number to the registry (and the serialreg.txt).

----

(Now i need a solution for my trouble with the installer and why it kills other software - it is annoying to install updates to a second system and copy the files to the main system to get newer versions...)
