Looking for first PBEM opponent

Post by OxfordGuy3 »

Hi - am looking for my first PBEM opponent, am based in the UK and would prefer an opponent in a similar timezone, if possible, though is not essential. I'm pretty inexperienced playing SC3, even against the AI, but I find play against the AI unsatisfying. I used to be quite experienced playing Commander Europe at War Grand Strategy against human opponents, though, so am not completely inexperienced for this type of game.

I've only played as the Axis Vs the AI, but would consider either side for PBEM. Prefer hard build limits and FOW etc.

Also, no reloads please, at least without a reasonable explanation

I'll be able to do a turn a day most days, more than that early on, possibly less further into the war

GeneralFerraro - yes I'm still looking for opponents, where are you based? How experienced are you? I don't mind playing vs. an experienced player - learn quicker that way. I've never played the Allies, but don't object to doing so, they can afford to make a few more mistakes, I guess!

Do you play on Steam or standalone? Either is fine.

Commander Oxford-Guy,

I just sent you an e-mail regarding the beta upgrade. Allies can do a few more mistakes at the beginning, certainly, but sooon things get bad if you keep doing mistakes... [X(] I'm not very experienced, I just played four or five games (well, that's something).

See you in Europe!

BTW you can play the beta version on one platform (e.g. Steam) and the released build using the standalone version of the game (unless you *only* have the Steam version - you get access to both versions if you own the standalone Matrix version of the game).

Yes, that's right, I'm installing the standalone version right now. It's a good idea to have both versions installed (1.8 and 1.9) so one can finish PBEM games being played with the old version... (thanks for the suggestion [;)])

Forgot to say, opponents now found - one Axis, one Allied, which is enough for me for now! Thanks
