playing the AI

Post by PeckingFury »

Was just wondering if anyone reloads the game after the AI tosses you a large can of whoop *** or does one continue on without doing a reload to restore the turn before the said can of whoop *** detonated.

I for one play straight thru, while waiting on pbem games this is the only way that the AI can have somewhat of a chance hehe

not me, I just take my lumps and keep playing - not many AI good enough to beat a competent human player in most games anyway, so not sure why anybody would want to handicap it even more -

I played solely against the AI for about a year and I will have to say I learned (most) of the ins and outs of the game that way. However, I just recently started playing PBEM and I can already see that it is LIGHT YEARS better than playing against the AI.

Beating the AI in every scenario proved to be absurdly easy (and NOT due to my 'strategic genius', rest assured).

Playing the AI is sort of like being in a race with you driving a Porsche and the AI driving a beat up Pinto. And the AI's driver is that big fat walrus from the Tennessee Tuxedo cartoons (Chumly?) and he's facing the wrong way as you zoom off. "DUUUUUUH, GEE TENNESSEE!"

The only play time I get is usually against the AI because of my time limitations - as in several days of play at utterly unpredictable odd times when I can get some free time to play, and then several more days when I can't even get back to the house except to eat, sleep, and grab a shower before I'm out of socket for any number of reasons for several days, (death in the parish, emergency surgery at hospitals in either Savannah, Jax, or somewhere else, like Atlanta, kid caught with drugs, or pregnant , or both; etc., etc., etc.) No body would want to PBEM with me because I might just disappear with no announcement for a good amount of time.

Just do whatever you find the most fun, when playing AI.

God bless you.
