- Replace Tom Phillips as commander of Force Z

Force Z sailed to break-up enemy landing at Kuantan.
Japanese SAG was set to patrol 2 hexes from Kuantan and reacted into the retiring Allied TF.

Lesson #2: do not do this kind of stuff with Bombardment TFs. Very little gain bombarding troops there, most of main ammo spent and a malus against surface combat

It took balls or poor detection levels to push Force Z into that predicament. The best I would ever recommend is trying to head off landings in Singkawang (sp) in Borneo. At least from there you have an even chance of a getaway south. Anything in Gulf of Siam is a One-Way trip!! Better than learning from one's mistakes is avoiding making them in the first place.
