Issue with the side briefing

Post by Strike Eagle »

I was playing the "Operation Market Time" scenario, and I had the Side briefing up to double check the estimated distance of the North Vietnamese supply ships sailing off of Chu Lai and Nha Trang, and I lowered the side briefing window so I could use the range/bearing tool, and somehow without realizing it I must have lowered the side briefing into the the task bar and now it's stuck in there. I tried closing out and re-opening the game to see if that would fix it, but when I started a new scenario and opened the side briefing, it would reappear in the task bar, still stuck, then I tried turning off and restarting my computer to see if that works, but still nothing, has this happened to anyone else, and if so do you have a solution. I posted a screenshot of the issue, there's a blue arrow at the bottom of the screen to show where the side briefing window is.

Hi,

Try to delete secondary window settings in command.ini in CMANO install folder, or delete file command.ini
If you delete command.ini file, be aware all of your settings will be deleted, you will have to set them up again.

Alright, I'll give that a try and see if it works, thank you.

Easiest thing to do is move the position of your taskbar and then drag the window back.

Right click on the taskbar and go to "Settings". Then in the settings window change the taskbar position by using the "Taskbar location on screen" drop down. Move it to one of the sides, drag the window back and then move the taskbar back.

Its even easier...under game options there is a check box to reset window positions.

Page 74 in the manual.
