Right looks like no one is around to answer so that's a wrap as they say in showbizz land.

Very happy to see this going again.

One comment:

Both sides fails to find the third time in the China Sea. (6 and 2 rolled)

US submarines abort to Gibraltar.

Japan aborts 1 CP. To which port?
Gibraltar? I didn't know the US had nuclear submarines in WW II! [:)]
I thought I knew how to play this game....

A few officers sacked as they apparently doesn't know the difference between Gibraltar and Singapore. [8|]

Mar/Apr 1940
Impulse: 7 (Allied)

Land Combat (Cont)

Soviet Union
The Soviet bombers add 3 to the attack and then withdraw. I assume the assault table is chosen as otherwise there is only one chance in ten that the Soviets would be disorganised.

Fractional odds take the attack to 7:1 so that was the right decision! But regardless, Changchun falls on a throw of 9 and the Siberians enter the Manchurian capital.

Image

Commonwealth
The Indian tanks deal a crushing blow to the pro-INA partisans.

Mar/Apr 1940
Impulse: 7 (Allied)

Air rebase:
Commonwealth
A Lancaster unit is re-deployed from the UK to Algieria.

France
The French rebase their naval bomber at Libreville to the Namib Desert (nice!)

Soviet Union
The Soviets re-base air units in Manchuria and a fighter unit in Southern Ukraine

Reorganisation: None

Turn Ends on less than 2 - but a 3 is thrown.

Weather for Mar/Apr Impulse 9 (Axis). The throw is an 8. Does this herald the launch of Barbarossa?

Damm. I had to redo the Japanese moves a few times. Looks like I forgot to move a unit I'd intended from the city next door back to Chengchun [:(].

Oh well, put it down to confusion of war. Orders, counter orders and orders going astray.

I had a similar issue with the other game. I thought that the last French unit in the Baltic had been destroyed as Denmark was conquered ages ago - I didn't even check....

M/A 42 Axis 9

Germany breaks the pact and declares war on USSR. No option to do so for Italy came up but the Relations table then showed Italy at war with USSR, so I presume it must have happened.

Can the Allies deploy the USSR reserves and send us the file?

Germany land. Italy and Japan combined.

The Italian ships in the West Med return to La Spezia.

Japan sends CP's to China and South China Seas.

The Axis decline most of the sea areas available for combat but the Italian FTR initiates in Biscay. Do the Allies wish to add the Spitfire at Bilbao to the mix?

No, thank you. No additional air for the Bay of Biscay.

Searches: Axis 6, Allies 3. No combat.

I presume the Allies will want to have a go in South China Sea?

The Allies can add the Whitley and/or Hurricane from Singapore up to the 1-box if they wish?

Japan chooses naval air.

The subs are sent back to port. Hope Singapore is okay.

I am retiring for the evening.

If Warspite1 is around then he can make any Allied decisions needed.
