Game of Thrones tonight - I can't believe we are over halfway already. Can this episode possibly top last week? [X(]

And followed by The Americans. [8D]

In 2013, MGM studios had their 90th anniversary of film making. They put together a compilation boxed DVD set of "Battle of Britain"; "A Bridge Too Far" and "Exodus" that just came in the mail today. USD $9.50. [8D]

So long as people put Spoiler Alert at the top its not a problem - although sadly not everyone does [:(]

I got the three-film MGM box set back in the early 2000's (2004 I think it was) which featured A Bridge Too Far, Battle of Britain and The Great Escape . Great value [:)]

What is Exodus? I don't think I've ever heard of it?

Movie with Paul Newman which deals with a member of the Israeli underground leading jews from the detention camps of Cyprus into Palestine. British forces intervene along the way. A story of pre-Israeli independence.

A possible idea for Disney's Frozen sequel?

Anna: Do you wanna build a snowman?
Elsa: No, I'm in the mood for something a little different
Olaf: Are you feeling okay Elsa, you look a little peaky?
Elsa: Yes Olaf, I'm fine - just let it go - okay?

Last one of Riviera tonight. Not been exactly lavished with praise - but I think it's been interesting enough to give series 2 a go - assuming there is going to be one of course.....

Riviera - yes I think that was worth watching, albeit its no Billions, Fortitude, Penny Dreadful or of course Game of Thrones [:)]

Well maybe there will be no Series 2. All loose ends seemingly tied up in one series - wow that must be a first. Plenty of strands they could pick up of course if they really wanted to but....

...and so Game of Thrones Series 7 comes to an end. Another great series. Some have complained that the script writing is not as good and the show is moving too fast. But some people are never satisfied. The series has been excellent and, unsurprisingly it's gathering pace as it enters its final stages (one series to go).

If you've never bothered with this, I thoroughly recommend you give it a go. Brilliant.

All this talk of the start of WWI. I think I will dig out my copy of 37 days this weekend. An absolutely brilliant piece of drama. I see it has 8.2 on imdb. Not surprised [&o]

Watched Allied for the first time. A bit silly in places but an enjoyable enough WWII based film. Marion Cotillard looked nice too [:)].

Funny. I watched Allied this past weekend too. Very 'meh'.

I also watched the Battle of Britain, one of three DVDs that I got in a recent bundle. It was better than I remembered when I saw it more than a decade ago. Some top notch 'plane porn'. [8D][&o]

I'm glad you felt a revision of your view was warranted. Yes the plane porn on show was most impressive [&o]
