Resources

Post by IBender »

In the attached screen shot you see the non oil resources for CW on Global set up. I have set up the convoys in what I believe is the standard format yet there appear to be 6 resources that are not convoyed to england. Is this just because the cw doesnt have enough convoys for everything?

If this is true that there just arent enough convoys, should I make it a priority to build / acquire new convoys and establish these routes?

Also, Per "Option 29: (Food in Flames) For each of Australia, India and South Africa where one or more resources are transported to a factory in Great Britain this turn, add 1 production" This I understand, however in my production summary page I see Food in Flames I am getting 2 bonus resources. I would assume this is not 3 because I am short one country ie Autralia, or India or South Africa. How can I tell which country I am missing? I ask because when I look at the production summary of where my resources are coming from and where they are going to..I see I have resources from Australia and India and South Africa coming to me..yet I only get a bonus of 2 resources instead of what I suspect I should be getting is 3.

It would be hard to be sure without seeing where the CPs are. FREX one CP in the Bay of Bengal will not transport both resources from Malaya, you need one CP per resource per sea zone between the source and destination. At any rate you only need to get 15 (14 in the first two turns since 21 factories times PM of point 5 gives you 10.5 build points which rounds up to 11 anyway) resources to the UK and any more is a waste of CPs since you can't produce with them. In an oil game you want to produce as many regular resources as possible and save as much oil as possible.

Food in Flames is a very pro-Allied optional rule which I advise against using unless you can find several pro-Axis optional rules to use as well to balance it.

I can see you are missing Australia. It has 3 resources and one factory. So one resource automatically feeds its factory overland and the other two are idle.
