Game 1

Japan is going to have to take a land as too many land moves to be done. Do you want Italy to take a land to enable a shuffling about of the units in Spain?

Usual ground strike from the ART unit against Bayonne? You never know, they might surprise and hit something.

Haven't looked at save file. Any ships in high boxes of BoB? If no, Italy land action and maximum ground strike against Bayonne followed by German assault (assuming both units are hit).

I come online after few hours.

Only a BB and 4 CA in the 0-box but plenty of planes to fly in.

Good. They can't provide shore bombardment. Germany will attack Bayonne this impulse. I will plan the attack tonight.

Game 1:

CW is trying to get Germany to air combat in night with their night fighters. I need to build some more night fighters. Can Italians borrow that Re2001 in Spain later this turn to protect Paris and Brussels?

Here is the plan for this impulse in Europe:

Germany and Italy both take land action, no naval air combat this impulse in BoB.

Ground strike in Bayonne:
Italian artillery fires.
Bombers: Bf110 as front bomber, followed by Sparviero and as last bomber Ju87D. Hungarian fighter can't fly to same hex with Italian units.
Fighters: German Bf109 from Spain. If and when CW intercepts, send Italian fighter to fight as back up fighter. All German planes lands to France.

Remainin planes will provide ground support (HUN fighter as front bomber followed by Ju87B and FW190 as fighter unless CW usess all planes in ground strike then it does not fly at all).

Germany rails MIL from Cadiz Spain to Copenhagen, GAR from Essen to Calais and ART from Spain to 46,48 in Lithuania (same hex with Guderian).

Can I do Italian land moves in France? MTN don't need to move yet. I get 31:22 attack in Bayonne before ground support. Germany gets 4 automatic or near automatic attacks in east against MIL.
If your attack is going really well, it's an ambush.

If you accept the plan I can start our impulse. Does Japanese want to rail or ground strike anything?

Just the one Japanese ground strike against the CAV, using the Ki-30. Land at Seoul.

Game 1:

Just to be sure...

Only one attack with Japanese, against that CAV? No attack against Sian MIL?

Yes, one attack. Attack on Sian MIL would need too high a roll to prevent disorganisation. Can't risk it this early in the turn.

Game 1

The CW/US commitment of that force to the Arctic is interesting for it's implications. Most of the lift capacity has been taken, so I don't think we'll see anything significant in western Europe for a while. Even next turn, when the TRANS/AMPH's are available, there aren't many units to do anything with. There is 1 spare HQ in UK, plus the Spanish HQ and Wavell in North Africa. INF, INF Div, a couple of MOT's and MIL's as fighting units.

In the Pacific, there are only 2 TRANS, at or near Pago Pago (plus the MAR), so limited operations there.

Mind you, they are doing alright against Japan with just the Chinese and USSR. However, has the USSR commitment to Manchuria forced the Allies to send troops to Russia, rather than elsewhere as your initial attacks have gone pretty well? I shall keep fighting and delaying in Manchuria to keep those USSR units away from the European front as long as possible. Keep wearing them down. If they take units away from Manchuria, I might be able to go on the offensive and take those Soviet resources close to the border (okay, probably wildly optimistic but no harm in planning for the best as well as worst).

The other thing is, that Arctic Expeditionary Force is dependent on the convoy chain to stay in supply. I wonder whether I can get Italian subs up to Kiel to start raiding Norwegian Sea/Arctic (plus U-boats). It would be great to be able to put them OOS.

Cutting convoy line in north would be great. But if Germany has any ships in Kiel, should you use major port in Netherlands?

Weather is fine in arctic. Germany can take one land action and after that they have to take air to get all planes to front line.

Yes, probably for the port.

Do what you have to with the air action.

Game 1

Is Germany going land or air? Italy will go combined.

I'm not sure what do do with Japan. I'd like to do a naval but need at least to move units in Manchuria. A land option would be attractive as I think there may be an opportunity to put that Communist stack at Suchow OOS and/or if a ground strike from the ART at Shanghai works, cause the 2 units at Soochow to be disorganised and OOS. That would need a land move. I need to get more troops to Manchuria though. I think it'll have to be a combined to move the 2 MAR units and then see what I can do in China. what do you think?

Game 1

Germany takes land action.

Can Italian move Milan MIL in southern France one hex SW to hold line until Germany gets more troops to that area? Can Italian Mech move adjacent to partisan? Together we get automatic attack.

Germany ground strikes by Ju88 hex 57,56 NE of Odessa (ARM, INF and AT gun). Let's see if they have to leave something behind. Bomber lands to 59,55 (Cutate-Alba).

Germany rails MTN from Budapest to Toulouse and Bulgarian INF from Varna to Aarhus Denmark.

Not looking good for attacks and next impulse Germany might have to be air to get all planes to front line. USSR is retreating fast behind to river lines.

Game 2

You can call Chinese production. Maybe 2x GAR (one for each)? The only MIL is communist unit.

Game 2

CW can drop their help down to 1 oil. France still uses their production for own units, I suspect next turn there are going to be some losses and I would like to rebuild MIL. When all hope is lost, France send BPs to UK.
