can any mega campaigns be bought used?

Post by Freedom205 »

Hi all, being rather new to SPWaW, I missed out on all 3 of the Mega Campaigns. Now I dont want to beat matrix out a a single penny, but I see non of the 3 is offered any more, and was wondering if any were available used. I have read all the posts and see that a new one is in the works, and that "maybe" the others might be re-issued.

Hi.

In this thread: showthread.php?s=&threadid=40973
David Heath says the old MC's will become again available as either downloadable or CD version.
As for used ones, haven't seen those for sale.

Watchtower still available

Post by tmac »

I just ordered watchtower from a software company in Canada. It (the company) is one of the distributors listed on Matrix site, cd was 24.95 US plus shipping (4.50 to 12.50 US depending on how fast you wanted it). It seemed as of 2-3 days ago that there were still copies in stock. I'm at work, so I don't have the company name at my fingertips, but post reply asking for it and I'll look first thing when I'm home. I also purchased Lost Victories from a company in Massachusetts (I think) maybe 2 months ago (again, one of the links from matrix) for around the same price. I am still searching for Desert Fox, but I guess that can wait until Matrix re-releases it. Look around, they are tough but not impossible to find. Ebay is another possibility. This goes to prove that I am impatient and can't wait for re-releases, as playing this game illustrates my impatience to rush in without proper recon and get a bloody nose. I am really looking forward to giving these a try.

Purchase Info

Post by tmac »

I'm bored at work, so I went to Matrix site and looked. Go to Matrix homepage, click on "links" on left hand column menu, and then select places that sell our games. I bought Lost Victories in April or May from "Chips and Bits", and I just (like Saturday 5 July) bought Watchtower form "Military Hobbies". Good luck.

Weirdness

Post by tmac »

This got me thinking, so I called Military Hobbies to check on my order, and despite being shown that item was "in stock" on 2 July (actual purchase date) the live person at the store said it was on "back order" and would be shipped by the end of the week. I questioned this employee about "restocking" of an out of production item, and he transfered me to the boss. This man (Dave) assured me they were scheduled to receive soon 12 more copies that they have ordered. Who is supplying this guy, Matrix? or some software clearinghouse? or was it all smoke being blown up my skirt?
