TOP SECRET ORM + WARSPITE ONLY (Reverse AAR)

RE: TOP SECRET ORM + WARSPITE ONLY (Reverse AAR)
I thought there was going to be a German attack this impulse?
I've considered attacking with Italy but I do not like to do so while France is guaranteed to get air support.

If you can work out an attack that stands a reasonable chance of success and does not involve me losing a Panzer Corps and being open to a devastating counter attack then please let me know - cos I can't see one [:(]

I thought you moved a loss unit forward last impulse. Oh, well, nothing we can do about that now. Have you considered the forest hex?

No, if you recall this was impossible to achieve in one turn. The ART moved last turn and can move to the hex this turn. However, unless we get lucky with the dice that means just two units in the Belgian hex and that hex can be attacked from four hexes if they have the initiative next turn.

When I say '"loss unit" I meant a unit designated to be taken as a loss. A cheap unit. Preferably a division or militia.ORIGINAL: warspite1

Worrying about their attack capability for next turn seems excessive. Then all Axis air power has reorganized. And it may very well be a disaster for us. But they might very well become disorganized and I doubt that they dare risk that. France attacking early in next turn may actually be a good thing for us.
I think we mainly should be concerned on how to be in as good position as possible for next turn. But with our luck....

Exactly. I am worried about it and it doesn't necessarily matter that all aircraft are organised. The damage was done this turn because they had the initiative and their ART kept buggering my attack up. Next turn, because of relative placement, this may not just be annoying disorganising of my forces - but destruction.
Sorry but I am going to play safe and hope. If they keep getting the initiative when it matters in this particular game then there is not much I can do.

It might be tough getting to Paris by playing it safe. But you are the boss. [:)]

So the Germans will do a combined. Do you want to do the first part of the impulse or shall I?

Maybe you can look at one of the alternate team games if you want to look at MWIF?

It is easy to forget that when you have superiority in Armor, you can use that to pick ... the Assault Table. Then you don't have to take losses on the tanks, and the enemy force takes more real losses than on the Blitz table - not a bad thing to start whittling down the French.
When does the HQ-A Guderian arrive? I like to use it to take an Air impulse against the French and then, with the Ju-52, re-org 5 bombers.

Indeed. Although we use the 1d10 LCT so the forced panzer loss doesn't apply. Here it is just difficult getting the right unit to the attack hexes die to ZOC, and disorganized units.ORIGINAL: brian brian

HQ-A Guderian is not yet built so I would imagine it will take a while before Guderian arrive.

RE: TOP SECRET ORM + WARSPITE ONLY (Reverse AAR)
I've been thinking. If we are passive on all three fronts then the Allies might not pass and this increase the odds that we will end this turn instead of the Allies. As the initiative is now it will be unlikely that we win the initiative next turn. Reroll for the Allies with a positive modifier is tough to beat. I know it makes little difference with no modifier but then we may, at least, demand a re-roll. And we win ties.
Japan has most of their forces disorganized. At least on the active, good weather front. Italy can not really do anything at all. So therefore I think it might be a good idea to 'bluff' the Allies that an attack in Belgium is coming. Maybe that will make them pass. And if the turn continues then we could perhaps make a chance attack, or two.
Therefore I suggest that Germany makes a land impulse and reorganize the MECH with the ATR. Unfortunately it is to expensive to reorganize the MECH on a combined.

Japan closes the Burma Road during the DOW step.
Land: Japan
Combined: Italy
No Port Strikes.
The Italian Z.501 fly to the 4-box of the Western Mediterranean.
The Italian cruiser Trento sail to the 4-box of the Italian Coast where it embark the Italian division in Olbia, Sardinia.
The Italian naval bomber initiate combat in the West Med.
No strategic bombing. No Ground Strikes.
The MIL in Seoul rail to Wuhan.
Can I do the second part?
Edit: Germany has full control of the Italian bomber in Remagen. Air moves are reserved for its use.

If I get time I may check that. In Land Combat you threw lots of 1's, I threw lots of 2's - although lately I've thrown 1's to add to the 2's [;)]
I twice ended the turn on a 1 at the earliest opportunity and now you've joined me in ending the turn early.
No doubt? No I think its close. We are both a couple of £$%^^& [:D]
