Game 2

What is Germany planning? They are building all planes.

Game 1

Wondering whether to try a port strike on Singapore. Can send 4 bombers and 3 fighters to give a basis of -1/+1, then it's down to surprise rolls.

Game 2

France and USSR combined

Naval move
One smart naval move by France, you can decide. I suggest 6 speed CA from Marseilles to Italian Coast box 3 or (2xBB and CA to box 2). Or some ships somewhere CW canät send escorts.

Ground strike
French artillery hits stack in 53,31 (ARM, MECH and ART)

Rail move
France: Marseilles MIL from Marseilles to Paris
USSR: INF from Irkutsk to Ufa (55 hexes west)

Land move
Com Chinese Sian MIL to hex SE of Tungkwan (77,139). Move MIL first to get INf in supply.
Com Chinese 5-3 INF to 78,143 to put all Japanese units in that area OOS.
GAR in Rumanian border 55,54 one hex SW
INF HQ in Bulgaria 2 hexes east
AT gun in Rumanian border one hex west to Chisinau

French HQ Georges one hex west
MOT from 54,31 to 53,30 (from where HQ left)
Paris MIL to 54,31 (from where MOT left)

Rebase
USSR FTR from Minsk hex SE of Riga (43,48)
SU-2 from Bulgaria to east of Chisinau
IL-4 from Bulgaria to east of Vilna
Pe-2 from Bulgaria to Odessa

French D520S to east of Paris
D510 to Sw of Metz (56,33)
If your attack is going really well, it's an ambush.

Game 1

Germany takes land action.

Can Italian move Milan MIL in southern France one hex SW to hold line until Germany gets more troops to that area? Can Italian Mech move adjacent to partisan? Together we get automatic attack.

Germany ground strikes by Ju88 hex 57,56 NE of Odessa (ARM, INF and AT gun). Let's see if they have to leave something behind. Bomber lands to 59,55 (Cutate-Alba).

Germany rails MTN from Budapest to Toulouse and Bulgarian INF from Varna to Aarhus Denmark.

Not looking good for attacks and next impulse Germany might have to be air to get all planes to front line. USSR is retreating fast behind to river lines.

Need to take combined. Can move MIL but will have to wait until next impulse to move Mech. Have a more urgent move for the other slot.

After that 1:10 surprise roll for the port strike, taking out the Hornet and the 2 CVP's was an unexpected bonus and well worth the CVP loss.

Lucky (relatively). There were some good rolls and some not so but the CV and CVP's was a result [8D].

Game 1

Next impulse Germany takes air action and rebases all planes to front line. Most of the planes go to southern front.

German plan is to attack in south causing as many losses to USSR as possible to make game longer. In north Germany is trying to create a defense line to river Dvina and only attack in Belorussian area to cause some losses and to get better defense line.

USSR is doing good job at the moment by running away from reach of my bombers in south. I believe they stop behind river Dnieper. That is where Germany is going to use air action and bomb many hexes and use O-chit next impulse. Let's see if Germany reaches Dnieper this summer.

Game might be lost, but we make them pay [:@]

If I were the USSR, I would withdraw the Northern front out of the Baltic States, out of the Stuka's range. There's nothing important to defend there and a nice front line from Pskov to the southeast will be very difficult for Germany to break. You won't get losses if you use an air impulse now. I would exploit the gaps in the frontline to make sure the USSR needs to leave units behind if they withdraw.

Situation is after our last impulse (Axis 4) and Allies moves next.

Following impulse is horrible weather (snow in Arctic, storm in North Temperate). I need Air impulse to be able to ground strike in south.

If your attack is going really well, it's an ambush.

Than you are right to do so, however, if the Allies are withdrawing totally from the Dvina line (which I would do), than your planes won't be able to reach the frontlines at all...

Game 1

Japan is going to take land to tinker with the lines and set up the next evacuations.

Italy will go for combined to move sub to North Atlantic (and thence to Germany), bring TRANS and GARR back to Italy and have a go at units in West Med.

Game 2

CW combined for another port strike. Sending TRANS south to pick up South Africans. That's about it. I'm not going to send the LND on ground strikes as too much fighter cover.

Game 2

Would it be possible if CW takes land and take one hex from France? I will post picture and more tonight.

Game 2

OK, just noticed CW has disorganized artillery in Belgium. Maybe you don't want to retreat now.

How about moving one hex east with both your HQs?

Now hex NE of Lille has defense 5 (and shore bombardment), with HQ that is too much for Germany. France will reinforce Lille defense up to 11 points.

And if CW takes hex SW of Lille too, France gets one more unit between Germans and Paris. When hex SE of Lille falls CW should move one more unit with that ARM HQ.

Germany has both good HQs disorganized, I don't think they use O-chit (at least for doubling units) next impulse. Luftwaffe is strong, they can still do a lot.

France might use one HQ to reorganize MECH and artillery/INF. Or just wait and see what happens, turn is still young.

I can play this impulse if you give instructions. Or you can start and I continue from land move (France land, USSR combined. No naval moves, no grounds strikes).

Game 1

USSR INF in Priper Marshes is trying to annoy me but fails (snow is not possible next impulse).

So Germany takes air impulse and only rebases planes. I can do them when we get to that point, there are quite many of them.

Will the French HQ be moving as I don't think the two HQ's will stack together?

I'll see what happens with the port strike. If the AMPH is taken out, I'll bring another unit over to Calais and move that to where you suggest Wavell goes. I'd rather keep the ARM HQ back and on the coast. It's then free to bail out or rail down to Bayonne and start holing up there.
