FYI: Vichy France

(Don't know what version, as this happened in the August time Frame), Single Player, AI AXIS.

A situation occurred where the ALLIES had managed to Liberated VICHY France.
The USA was able to build VICHY units.

Later on, after France was liberated, VICHY was incorporated into France.
VICHY units in the build queue could not be placed for the rest of the game, I suspect since VICHY does not exist.

That is correct, there is a Decision Event for France to decide whether or not to reunite, and unfortunately the penalty for doing so is that any Vichy units will be lost.

It really depends on the situation as to whether or not it is wise to do this, i.e. if there are no or few Vichy units, then I would definitely say yes.
