This Tracker image says that I'm pretty good on oil for about 8 months but the RES levels are really low. Only
enough RES for about a month. That's lower than I've ever seen a game start. Much different from stock.

I was shocked to find out that the fuel levels are low as well. I'm not sure the invasion phase has enough
for all the targets I need to invade. This might be a really short war.

I've heard horror stories about the auto-convoy system but I'm going to try to use it if possible to take
up some of the slack in my assigning TF's. I'm in the habit of editing the routes of the auto-convoy TF's
because of the lackadasical routes the computer assigns sometimes. I noticed that Tokyo isn't on the list
of destinations and it's a 10 level port. Maybe it's not there because it's the game engine only goes up
to nine on this display.

Here's what's parked at Osaka for the auto-convoy system to choose from. I'm curious about the little boys,
whether or not they will be tasked to go somewhere. I'll keep you guys posted.

Here's the Air R&D. I've sorted the list on size of production and you can see I've got a lot of little
factories all over the map. Actually I guess they would be research facilities with a runway and everything.
Lots of them are set to expand substantially. I'm not sure those places have the supply necessary to expand
everybody.

Here's just some of the aircraft and engines at the start of the war. The numbers of engines is
uncomfortably low in certain categories. And there's probably an engine or two that I don't
need to build any more. I'm planning on going through the aircraft we're building and narrow
down the focus to a dozen models or less and just produce those. Simplify.

EDIT: I disbanded the I-16's, that's why the used number is negative. I don't know what happened
to the Sallys above a line or two.

This was the first mod I tried against GP. My issue with it was the huge amount of HI Japan was able to generate per turn. It was supplies and fuel that limits Japan. Has that changed?

Okie dokie......I've been playing with this scenario for a couple of days now and have gotten a good look at things
and I'd like to make a humble tentative assessment of the situation with the economy. I'm seeing about 18.5K HI
per turn and that's enough to pay for a carrier each turn. I'm planning on turning off some of the HI to save on
fuel, which is down to like 36 days supply in the home islands. And the Japs are saddled with a BUNCH of
Chinese Junks that have a range of 1100 and a speed of 10 and a capacity of like 750 tons. This is going to be a
long war. I'm not used to so many ships on the inland rivers of China. There must be over 50 of them at ports
up and down the rivers of China. This is starting to smell like micromanagement heii. Have to spell it that way
so the game engine won't turn it into ****. Just to do the initial first turn setup took me about two days and
at least 1K mouse clicks. BUT, I'm determined to give Brian a good game and I don't want to overlook anything.

Here's the aircraft and engines sorted on production rate. I'm posting these things here so I can refer to them
tomorrow and the day after that, etc. I'm going to compare the same picture tomorrow and see how the numbers
have changed. I can't seem to get Tracker to do that kind of thing for me.

And as for the war: There's a place where the Japs start the game already forward based because of the Wallis
and Fortuna islands. I've got some troops on Wallis but Fortuna needs a garrison. There's RES to be had there
and there's some light industry to protect, that will generate some supply for the islands if I can keep it
working.

I just now got an email from Brian and he says he's already launched into
doing his moves. He said he didn't want to just find the bugs, mostly
because Sid is out of pocket on a research mission and there's no one to
fix the things we find, BUT it would be a good idea to make a list of the
things we find. So I thought I'd do that with this AAR: I'll look for
the bugs as well as report the war. It's the least I can do to help.

I've got a TF 363 made up of some TK's and a torpedo boat escort that I want to move to where the
goodies are and this might not be the best time to do that. It's less than 20 hexes and I can do
the trip at full-speed for the entire thing, that's not a problem. The danbger is from Allied
surface combatants and Allied anti-ship sorties along the way. I don't have any first-class escorts
for these guys and this trip COULD wait I suppose. It's just frustrating sometimes to go through
the trouble to make a TF without sending it somewhere afterward. I'll live.

A stripped-down version of that TF with only the fastest ships involved can make the trip in only 2 days.
That's roughly 2 chances of an interception via air or water. I'm going to do it. The slower tankers can
just repaint their hulls or something.

I don't think I've mentioned this before: The 15th National Guard LCU at Samah needs some fleshing out
before it's going to be combat worthy. There's a bunch of stuff missing from the unit. I'll need to
put them into training mode while they beef up.

I've opened just the LI and RES in the industry display and sorted on base names and I've identified some
locations that might experience a shortage of RES sometime in the future. And therefore might need a run
from Tokyo ( or somewhere ) with a load of RES to keep the LI going. I'll have to keep that in mind. And
this is just a partial list.

Here's a situation you don't see everyday. There's some Zero factories that have their expansion already
bought and paid for, all I needed to do is turn on the repairs. I found three that had enough supply to
make the expansion.

In addition to the Zeros above I found some more airframes that I think I can pay for up front. They are on
this list and will boost production to what I anticipate I'm going to need. I'll monitor and adjust PRN.

Here's the situation as of when I sent my first turn moves to Brian. He tells me that even though the Soviets

are active and we're at war, he's willing to just stare at me through his binoculars if I am and that sounds

like a pretty good deal. I started with 2,000 PP's and I've been replacing leaders for all kinds of things.

Ships that need better captains and LCU's that need a better leader and squadron commanders that could be

replaced to a profit. I have no idea how many PP's we are both earning per turn. I'm assuming it's the same

for both sides. That too is a question mark.

When I'm not working on the game I have with Brian I'm usually working on my anti-AI game where I'm the Allies.

I'm playing as the Allies because I want some insight into what he might be thinking at any one time and I can

only do that if I'm in approx. the same situations he's in. That's the theory.

I'm right now going through the cities setting up the supplies needed and I'm thinking how wonderful it would be

if the scenario designer had already done that for me. For us. A few thousand mouse clicks would have been

saved. By every player of that scenario. Just a thought.
