Just send 40-60 Lima/Adens to Hokkaido. Use small task forces, CS. You can move that 2million very quickly.

Send your Yusen (they have fuel/oil capacity) to Fusan and CS them for resources to Shimoneski, coastal. Toss in another 40 Aden/Limas.

Add 6 ships a day per port until you have used them all up.

Patrol with an ASW task force, and get night and ASW air search up.

Check your tracker history tabs per region on the oil/resource screen of the industry page. Did you import regions into Tracker....I use Kulls[&o]

And do not forget Sakhalin. Shipping from Hokkaido-Korea-Sakhalin is usually enough for all running resources needs as well as accumulation of the healthy endgame reserve. But since the latter is not there, other places might be considered. Depends on how much you have already laying around near Home islands

You need some deep recon of likely staging bases.
What is the status on this? GLENS on Recon ....

I always thought the Iboats were very difficult to get any useful data doing this.

Recon missions normally send 4 planes out. But of course an Iboat only has one glen. So to get meaningful data, you need to send several Iboats. Hopefully the base isn't heavily CAP'd, and you are much better off transferring in 70 skill recon pilots than trying to cross train naval/recon pilots.

You should have some Judy C...they can fly very far from a CVE or CVL or CV and do a much better job (however you are risking some nice ships to do it). In and out for a quick looksie.

Ach, lost my response. Let me see, oh yeah...

So Norm on an AV works well too. But I think he needs to scope out the northern route. That is Glen only area for me ...

Glens from subs show nothing at Attu or Adak - nothing built up and no read evidence of a buildup. I have a small fleet with a pair of CVEs moving into range and so far they have not been detected.

If you don't see anything, nothing is there. You should be able to see the DL ... as long as it is above 2, you would see units, not details. That would be the CVE's job ...

Kodiak, Anchorage, etc are next. I'd make sure you have good NavSearch in the North. And Hokkaido ready to repel invaders ...

You can also review your radio transmissions, you get coordinates. Match those up on the map, anything not West Coast, PH, make sure you understand where and what it is ...

It wouldn't surprise me if he comes from Pearl ... where ever he's going ...

My gut says Mariannas - not sure why - no proof. But after taking the Solomons and pushing up New Guinea his offeneive moves have all but stopped. He landed some marine raiders and some paratroopers but nothing in force. With Naval support he can probably take Rabaul and Manus but his navy has not been seen since his CVs supported the invasion of Tarawa. Its almost like he wants me to reinforce the Southern Pacific.

The Mariannas is a nice target and cuts off the Southern Pacific so everything there would be in trouble if he landed the Mariannas. I have been reinforcing them for a while now. I have a lot of Seach in the North and only a little from the Mariannas - will need to switch some.

A quiet "Mr. Kane" would be scaring the crap out of me.

See I don't think so. He has had many opportunities to strike at my oil all over the map and has only once struck at oil the entire game. Its weird. Many allied players strike at the oil whenever they get the chance but not Mr Kane. Sometimes I think the oil really doesn't matter - if he destroys it early it will cause the Japanese player to quit - no chance at all. And in the end oil doesn't really matter.

Right now I have roughly a one year supply of fuel / oil in the home islands (so March / April 44) and bringing more in all the time so not sure it matters much at this point. If I could magically move all the fuel / oil from Singapore to the Home Islands I would be set for fuel / oil til end of 44 or later.

I am quite concerned... Wondering if he is waiting for the last CV(s) to arrive or something so he can have 1000+ fighters over it then he'll begin his push to Japan.

Recon Ledo, do a mouseover and check the size of the runway there and in China.

I have my suspicions what he is up to.

The interesting thing about MrKane is that he does not seem to have a 'style'. I have seen him go after india, go after Australia, etc. He seems to choose something different each time he plays.

Correct. I haven't seen him go north in an AAR yet ...

Marianas is possible, but he can't win there. Most of his attacks are really crippling, I don't see the Marianas as crippling.

Hokkaido, PI, Hong Kong/Formosa ... He likes to go big ...

Here is my looking ball...

Phase 2 could as easily be a landing a Iwaki/Sendai on Honshu. There are some critical dates in 1943 where Japan gets lots of infantry...

I have my suspicions what he is up to.

Ledo is huge - size 8 and packed with tons of AA. When I recon it in length I lose a Dinah every couple days to flak there. He has fighters, 4E bombers and 150+ auxillary planes there (guessing they are transports). My plan was to bomb them at night but the flak losses are too high for minimal gain.

MrKane is a master at moving supply by air. Those planes are pumping supply and/or troops somewhere all the time I will bet.

Definitely supply into China. Some of the Chinese units are at 650 AS and are a pain to try to whittle down. My own fault for not advancing more into China when I had it easy.

By this time, Mr. Kane can be putting in 2000+ supply a day by air into China. Given this amount of work, I am sure he is planning an op to open up the Burma road...but it might be as simple as pushing forward given his recent success there.

Japanese troops recover fast, you have good terrain, and interior lines. Just try not to be cut off. Look to your interior bases and plan out your lines of defenses.
