Few noob questions

The development team behind the award-winning games Decisive Campaigns: From Warsaw To Paris and Advanced Tactics is back with a new and improved game engine that focuses on the decisive year and theater of World War II! Decisive Campaigns: Case Blue simulates the German drive to Stalingrad and into the Caucasus of the summer of 1942, as well as its May preludes (2nd Kharkov offensive, Operation Trappenjagd) and also the Soviet winter counter-offensive (Operation Uranus) that ended with the encirclement of 6th Army in Stalingrad and the destruction of the axis minor armies. With many improvements including the PBEM++ system, this is a release to watch for wargamers!

Few noob questions

Post by jzardos »

Just wondering a few things on the game...

- how do you recon? Use combat planes to fly mission in an area? No recon planes?
- How do you get more ammo in for your artillery type units? Need to use PP to get more supply reserves?
- (BONUS QUESTION). Love this type of WW2 game. So well done!!! Amazing. When is the next DC(4?) game coming for WW2? Can we get entire eastern front? Maybe North Africa?

thanks

ok, I figured out the answer to my first question. Recon plane units are on the map and there's a recon button to do that task [:)]

After a full barrage (like 10 combat rounds) the artillery needs several game rounds to completely stock up again and be ready to barrage at full impact strength. It is a core rule even if supply is perfect. It requires the player to time his offensive and use the artillery to greatest effect at the most opportune moment.

Actual lack of supplies would show effects throughout your OOB and not only with artillery units. To combat that you could play the 'extra supplies' card.

Thanks for the compliment. I am working on Shadow Empire as a next release. Fictional wargame.

There is the free DC:Community Project also that has several good scenarios available.

best wishes,
Vic
