Civil War II

Post by Twotribes »

Anyone still interested that designed this? I can play sandbox just fine but if I use the scripted version I get two errors during California, Texas and CSA turns the errors are the same for all 3 both errors can be skipted over it is just annoying to click it and I don't know what is not happening.

I don't recall getting any errors when I played it last year. Were your errors during turn execution or during playback/History? Just reloaded my last save (turn 13) and ran it without errors. Not sure what version of ATG I used last year but am using 2.27d now.

Turn execution. Specifically between each turn.

It is a bug that happens randomly. It is caused by me not understanding completely the way the game chooses a random row in a stringlist, when there is a weighted probability.I assumed (wrongly) that when you set a row to the weighted probablity of 0 that it would be 0, and not 1. This there is a random chance that it will land on one of these unwanted rows, causing the random errors.

It is fixable, but requires quite a bit of code, where you basically copy the stringlist you are working with into another temporary stringlist, skipping the rows set to 0. At the time I had trouble tracking down the problem, and when I did track it down, I simply did not have the energy to begin recoding.

If I don't remember wrongly, I think that the scripted version was not completed, and that thus it shouldn't be played...

I have not ever received that error, but that said, I find the scenario enjoyable. Especially since I made each regime have their own images.
