Sakhalin

My guess is that the Allies no limit in their boldness this game, figuring with the Soviets active there is nothing really to lose.

Finally...

Resources in Honshu climbed for the 2nd day in a row, but more importantly resources in Korea spiked to over 400,000 with 3/4th of it at Fusan.

Plus oil and fuel draw...never have a problem drawing fuel here, but oil can be tough.

Down to 400,000 on cargo ships headed for Honshu, but the crisis maybe over for now but will surely rear its ugly head far too soon.

We shall try and save this tanker...only a PB escort. Probably shouldn't be at sea given how poor the Captain is.

The cargo ship hit and set afire by a 300kg Dutch bomb has fires down to 1 and is docked at Jolo.

Another long, click fest turn.

As soon as I sent it, I realized I left one task force hanging out to dry...and forgot to move a few construction units....hopefully it won't hurt too bad.

I've discovered that there's always something left undone.

March 2nd, 1942

Foolish of me to think my miscues will go unpunished in this game...

The Soviets surge their destroyers into Alexandrovsk...I anticipated it today, he had been running them up the coast and disbanding in ports I think.

Anyhow the IJN has two CL forces screening the carriers, and they actually encounter the Rooskies first. All the Rooskie destroyers are showing smoke from hard use.

Another fight...I am taken by surprise in that the Soviets set their home port most likely to Alexandrovsk, so the stick around for about a half dozen or more fights.

The anticipated PT boats. I guess I can expect Yankee paratroopers here soon.[:(]

Hibiki is a great ship and has RADM Raizo Tanaka in command. Probably a misuse of him, but that's life. He surprises the PT boats and promptly sinks one, but the misses the 2nd one during the morning.

Instead of moving my planes and ships in Sumatra yesterday, I worked a bit on my Iboats. Are they guys headed to Midway or the Kuriles? Kuriles is my bet...1 vehicle destroyed.

Yank paratroops....the troops to garrison that island are leaving Nagoya as we speak.

Now I need to figure out my response. I bet the Allies are using their damaged two carriers close by.

Here, I messed up plain and simple. Allied bombers have a field day damaging several light cruisers and putting a 500 pounder on the Chikuma.

My bad...I literally didn't move anything here from last turn...so the losses could have been a lot worse.

The Allies used Beasts, Albacores, Flying Dutch boats, etc...I should have extracted a heavy cost here.

Up north, at Magwe the Allies continue savaging the fighters and oil fields.

Really, a pitiful excuse of a Japanese turn.

I was forced to fly the Oscar Ib over Magwe and they suffered. Pilot quality was iffy...and of course the plane really stinks.

The Ic flew over the Kotou pocket, LRCAP and suffered too, against nothing more than lousy, but a lot, of Rooskie 1st gen fighters.

There was so many fights with the Russian destroyers, I think I might have put down two. One for sure.
