Why TotH?

Post by sIg3b »

Comparing to SPWW2/SPWAW:

SP games have:

-same scale and period
-more Nations
-more equipment
-more detail
-random maps & random battles
-run on low-end systems without lag
-you get all the numbers, no guesswork

So I am at a loss: Is there *ANYTHING* that TotH does better???

Thanks, though I was hoping for another answer than this one. [:(]

I have never played SL/ASL, but the only reason why I might be interested in those games is the chess-like possibility to calculate everything to the last digit behind the comma. But precisely this is missing. [:(]

The highlight of this game compared to all other tactical games is that it allows the stacking of infantry units in the same hex. This allows the player to concentrate his forces exactly where he has chosen to attack or defend and thus mathematically increases the tactical possibilities in relation to SPWWII or Battle Academy which are excellent games but can't do this.[:)]

[&:] Last time I checked you could stack practically unlimited infantry squads in SPWW2, and I think the same is true for SPWAW.

Maybe bad tactics, though, since losses when you are being fired at will increase. In SP games you can even stack AFVs, but perhaps also bad tactics.

I hope you are not telling me the unique advantage of TotH is it more encourages questionable tactics? [;)]
