Experience gained from training ?

I've started my first game in 3.3 as Soviets against AI Germans, 41 Campaign. While having some tense moments around Leningrad and Moscow, then blizzards came and I trounced AI back. Frontline emerges eerily similar on Spring 42 in game as it was historically on Spring 44.

After first turn, I pulled all my air assets to rear for training. I started to commit my fighters as CAP when they started to reach 50 exp. I had several (almost all) IL-4 bomber units on training in Caucasus for some time longer, and to my surprise, they showed exp from 75 to 82. So, during early 42, I started to hit Ploesti with them with reasonable success.

So, I was really surprised to see such gain from training within 6 months. I'm more used to PacWar 3.2 exp gain limits by training. Is there no limit for exp gain for air unit training in WiR ?
